MacDermid Alpha Electronics Solutions, a segment of Element Solutions Inc., seeks an innovative R&D Chemist to develop analytical methods and formulations for wafer level packaging, IC substrates, and PCB industries. You will work on electrochemical and chromatographic techniques, collaborating with a global R&D team to translate concepts into commercially viable solutions.

Qualifications

• BS in Chemistry with 0-2 yrs of laboratory experience.
• Strong background in Analytical Chemistry and/or Electrochemistry particularly preferred.
• Hands-on experience with modern analytical instrumentation and laboratory techniques, including chromatographic, spectroscopic, and electrochemical methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Research, develop analytical methods, and assist in formulation of products for wafer level and semiconductor packaging, IC substrate, and printed circuit board industries.
• Identify, develop, and execute analytical research project activities as delegated to them by the Senior Research Manager.
• Observe, analyze, and interpret results and make recommendations for direction of analytical research projects.
• Use data generated pro-actively for problem solving and value-added activities on projects.
• Write reports and presentations that clearly communicate technical findings to other researchers, and participate in departmental project meetings.
• Knowledge and hands-on experience on state-of-the-art analytical methodologies, including electrochemical techniques, CVS, UV-vis, FTIR, HPLC, IC, and GPC.
• Maintain a high level of professional expertise in Principles and methodologies in technology areas of strategic importance to AIS.
