Job summary

MacDermid Alpha Electronics Solutions, a business segment of Element Solutions Inc, seeks an innovative R&D Chemist to join the global Research & Development team. You will develop next-gen products for PCB, molded interconnect, connector, and IC substrate industries.

You will conduct hands-on experiments, document SOPs, and communicate findings through technical summaries while collaborating with cross-functional teams and senior researchers. Travel up to 15% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, or related field.
• Two or more years of laboratory, materials science, process development, or related experience preferred.
• Understanding of fundamental chemical and physical analysis concepts and techniques.
• Hands-on laboratory experience with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Support the research, development, and qualification of new products and technologies for PCB, molded interconnect, connector, and IC substrate industries.
• Independently conduct laboratory experiments and bench-scale process evaluations in a safe and efficient manner.
• Perform routine chemical, physical, and analytical testing of materials and samples.
• Develop, follow, and document SOPs and experimental methods.
• Accurately record experimental data, maintain laboratory documentation, and prepare technical reports.
• Analyze results and communicate findings through presentations and technical summaries.
• Collaborate with senior researchers and cross-functional teams to advance project objectives.
• Adhere to laboratory safety standards, sampling procedures, EH&S requirements, and support 5S initiatives.
• Contribute to project success by effectively executing tasks, communicating progress, and meeting milestones.
