Job summary

AbbVie in Lake County seeks a seasoned professional to support global R&D capital planning and manage the RCE lifecycle, partnering with engineering, finance, EHS and IT to deliver capital investments.

You will design and deploy an aligned operating model, coordinate governance, and provide analytical support for the Annual Plan and Long-Range Planning, operating effectively in a matrix environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in engineering, capital projects, facilities, business operations, finance, or program management.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional work in a matrix organization.
• Experience with capital investments, project approvals, portfolio governance or executive decision processes preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead RCE lifecycle governance and executive reviews.
• Coordinate development, submission, governance, approval and closeout of capital requests.
• Collaborate across Engineering, Facilities, Finance, EHS and IT stakeholders.
• Coach contractors, manage workload, and drive scalable templates and guidance.
