Job summary

Keysight Technologies is offering a paid, full-time internship in Colorado Springs focused on building AI tooling for internal engineers. You will join an Agile team, work on design, implementation, and testing of internal tooling, and contribute to MCP and AI-assisted development efforts.

The program runs ~12 weeks on-site, with a mentor-guided project selected from active team work. This internship serves as a pipeline into full-time R&D engineer openings at Keysight.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Data Science, or equivalent.
• Experience with software development, source control, and testing.
• Experience with object-oriented programming in Python, C++, C#, Rust, or Java, and ability to write non-trivial code.
• Exposure to AI or machine learning concepts through coursework or internships.
• Must be able to work on-site in Colorado Springs for the duration of the internship.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, test, and document a scoped software project for the team roadmap.
• Apply Generative AI and agentic techniques under mentor guidance.
• Build integrations between AI systems and existing tools (IDEs, source control, CI/CD).
• Gather requirements from engineers and adjust design as needed.
• Write automated tests and contribute to AI quality metrics.
• Measure adoption and impact of tooling with feedback loops.
• Learn new development tools and participate in Git, code reviews, and CI/CD practices.
• Document and demo tooling to other teams and leadership.
