Job summary

Furqaan Academy in Darien, Illinois invites a passionate Quran Teacher to guide young learners in full-time Hifdh and integrated Quran programs. You will help students memorize, teach Arabic basics, and reinforce Tajweed rules.

Ideal candidates are Hafiz/Hafidha with Tajweed proficiency, strong communication, and experience with different age groups. Authorization to work in the USA is required; an Ijazah is preferred but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• Must be authorized to work in the USA.
• Strong knowledge of Quran memorization with Tajweed.
• Experience teaching children across age groups preferred.
• Ijazah certificate is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist students in Full-time Hifdh and Integrated program with memorization of the Quran
• Teach the Arabic alphabet (Al-Qaidah An-Noraniah) and recitation with basic Tajweed
• Mentor and develop memorization skills of children aiming to become huffadh
• Provide feedback to parents and principal; track student progress
• Evaluate students and conduct periodic exams and competitions
• Promote Islamic values and discipline; supervise activities and prayers
• Substitute when other Quran teachers are absent
• Report discipline issues; conduct Parent-Teacher conferences
• Prepare and encourage participation in out-of-school competitions

• Hafidh/Hafidha of Quran
• Proficiency in Tajweed rules
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Previous teaching experience with different age groups is preferred
• Authorization to work in United States is required
• Ijazah Certificate is preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Assist students in Full-time Hifdh and Integrated program with memorization of the holy Quran
• Teaching the Arabic alphabet (Al-Qaidah An-Noraniah) and recitation of the Quran with basic Tajweed rules
• Mentor, prepare, motivate and develop memorization skills of children who are planning to become huffadh
• Following a process for frequent reviews and tracking progress of students
• Providing feedback to parents and principal
• Evaluating students and conducting periodic examinations, & competitions
• Developing and instilling Islamic values and convictions in the students
• Maintaining discipline, motivating and encouraging student involvement in all Hifdh related programs
• Reporting discipline issues through school form to the parents
• Conducting Parent-Teacher conferences in school
• Prepare, motivate and encourage students to participate in out of school competitions
• Supervise students during different activities, prayers, lunch and play time
• Substitute when other Quran teachers are absent
