Job description

DarusSalam Tahfiz Academy for Qur'an Memorization is seeking a passionate and skilled full-time male Hifz instructor to join our Tahfiz Program, beginning June 2026.

Position Overview

As a Hifz Teacher, you will be responsible for overseeing the memorization and progress of full-time Qur’an memorization students and Islamic studies to students in a supportive, structured learning environment.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Strong proficiency in Hifz with sound application of tajwīd
• Prior experience teaching Hifz or working with students in a structured learning environment
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to maintain a productive learning atmosphere
• Energetic, approachable, and able to build meaningful connections with students
• Knowledgeable in foundational Islamic studies, including sīrah, ḥadīth, fiqh, etc.
• Ability to maintain positive communication with parents and administration
• Open to professional development, training, and ongoing improvement
• Committed to maintaining and implementing DarusSalam’s educational standards and policies
• Organized, dependable, and able to effectively monitor and track student progress

Responsibilities

• Teach Qur’an memorization to classes of approximately 10–13 students
• Deliver engaging Islamic studies lessons appropriate for younger learners
• Foster a positive, disciplined classroom environment conducive to spiritual and academic growth

Schedule

Monday–Friday: 7:45 AM – 4:00 PM
Saturday: 7:45 AM – 11:30 AM
