ALTEK, Inc. is seeking a Quoting & NPI Engineer in Spokane, WA to bridge program managers, manufacturing, quality and supply chain.

You will evaluate customer requirements, develop accurate cost estimates and quotations, assess manufacturability, and lead new product introductions from quotation through production launch. The role involves reviewing RFQs, drawings and specifications, analyzing manufacturability, creating detailed cost estimates, and coordinating with suppliers.

Competenze

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering or related field; equivalent mix of education and experience considered.
3–7+ years in manufacturing engineering, process engineering, cost estimating, quotation management, NPI or related roles.
Experience in aerospace/defense/medical device or other regulated environments preferred.
Experience reading engineering drawings, GD&T, specs and customer requirements.
Experience with ERP/MRP, cost estimation and manufacturing processes.
Strong knowledge of machining, assembly and injection molding processes.
Proficient with CAD and documentation; familiarity with quality systems (AS9100/ISO 9001).
Knowledge of PFMEA, Control Plans, FAI, PPAP and APQP methodologies.

Mansioni

Review customer RFQs, drawings, specifications, models, and quality requirements.
Analyze product designs for manufacturability and identify technical risks.
Communicate DFM feedback to customers in written or verbal form.
Develop detailed cost estimates including labor, materials, tooling, processing, equipment and overhead.
Collaborate with supply chain and vendors for pricing.
Determine processes, routings, cycle times, equipment needs and lead times.
Prepare accurate and competitive quotations within deadlines.
Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process optimization during quoting.
Maintain quotation records, assumptions and supporting docs.
Lead NPI activities from order receipt through production launch.
Review requirements and ensure flow-down of technical, quality and regulatory needs.
Lead design reviews, manufacturability assessments and process development.
Create and validate manufacturing processes, work instructions and inspection requirements.
Lead tooling evaluation, tooling design and fixture development with lead times.
Monitor launch performance and resolve technical/quality issues.
Support production teams during initial builds and ramp-up.
Serve as technical resource for cross-functional teams.
Assist root cause analysis and corrective actions for NPI issues.
Identify opportunities for process improvements to reduce cost, improve quality, and shorten lead times.
Maintain configuration control and lifecycle documentation.
Support quality system implementations and customer-specific requirements.
Participate in Lean/Six Sigma CI initiatives.
