Job summary
Altek Inc. in Liberty Lake, WA is seeking a Quoting & NPI Engineer to bridge engineering, manufacturing, quality and supply chain functions.
You will evaluate customer requirements, develop accurate cost estimates and quotations, assess manufacturability, and lead new products from quotation through production launch. The role drives cost reduction, ensures quality alignment, and supports successful ramp-up.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering or related field.
- 3-7+ years in manufacturing engineering, process engineering, cost estimating or NPI.
- Experience in regulated environments such as aerospace/medical devices is preferred.
- Ability to interpret drawings, GD&T, specs and customer requirements.
- Experience with ERP/MRP, manufacturing processes, and cost estimation.
- Strong CAD proficiency and technical documentation skills.
- Knowledge of AS9100/ISO 9001 and PFMEA/PPAP concepts.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Office apps.
Responsibilities
- Review RFQs, drawings and quality requirements to prepare quotations.
- Analyze designs for manufacturability and assess technical risks.
- Lead NPI activities from order to production launch.
- Create manufacturing processes, work instructions and inspection criteria.
- Collaborate with supply chain for pricing and lead times.
- Support cost reduction and process improvements during quotation.
