Gleaners Food Bank (Quinte) Inc. is seeking a Quote Specialist onsite to support the Partner Support/Sales Team.

The role involves developing accurate cost estimates, preparing customer quotes, coordinating orders from request through delivery, and ensuring timely fulfillment while maintaining a positive customer experience. Qualified candidates will have experience in quoting, cost estimating, and order processing, with preference for food distribution or production exposure.

Qualifications

• Experience in quoting and cost estimating.
• Experience with order processing and customer or sales support.
• Food distribution or production experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support the Partner Support/Sales Team and daily operations through administrative tasks, customer coordination, and order follow-up.
• Respond to inquiries and review quotes to confirm product specs, quantities, packaging, production needs, quality requirements, and delivery timelines.
• Calculate estimated costs in coordination with Purchasing, Supply Chain, and Production Operations; validate margins with Finance.
• Prepare and revise quotes, proposals, and agreements using approved pricing and margins.
• Enter and verify sales orders; communicate customer specs, delivery timelines, and quality requirements to internal teams.
• Coordinate with Supply Chain on order verification and fulfillment; schedule shipments and track orders through delivery.
