Job summary

Alfa Laval is seeking a cost-quote specialist to support our service business across multiple US locations. You will prepare accurate quotes for service and parts orders, gather inputs, and coordinate with Field Service, Service Centers, and Distribution Centers to ensure completeness and accuracy.

You will maintain revision history, obtain internal approvals, and hand off quotes to Sales for final pricing while supporting margin analysis. A collaborative, detail-focused approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Business Administration or related discipline; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 2+ years of quoting, estimating, or service coordination experience.
• Ability to manage detailed documentation and verify cost elements.
• Proficiency in ERP/CRM systems (e.g., OneCRM, One4AL, OneService, ServiceNow).
• Strong analytical, communication, and coordination skills with internal departments.
• Capable of balancing accuracy and speed for high-volume quoting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and QA cost quotes using standard labor rates, shipping costs, parts pricing, and service guidelines.
• Coordinate with Field Service Coordinators, Service Center Coordinators, and Distribution Centers to ensure accuracy of inputs.
• Confirm technician requirements, service locations, and scheduling constraints are accurate.
• Engage ATS and AMDC for validation of non-standard components before quote release.
• Ensure compliance with Credit and Trade Compliance before quote release.
• Confirm scope details such as site requirements, technician skill levels, duration, and parts availability.
• Obtain internal approvals and review information in customer portals as required.
• Handoff cost quote to Sales or Reps for final pricing and negotiation.
• Maintain revision history and audit traceability across systems.
• Support margin analysis and identify cost variances or missing scope information.
