Job summary

PLATT seeks a Quotations Specialist to join our Boise team. You will establish relationships with customers and vendors to secure competitive pricing for bids, review bid packages, and prepare quotations with detailed documentation.

You will work closely with Outside Sales and branches, format RFQs, assemble final proposals, and negotiate pricing as needed. Strong Excel/Outlook/Word skills and a growth mindset help you succeed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of customer service, project management, or related experience preferred.
• Experience with electrical distribution, lighting, and controls, or adjacent industry preferred.
• High School or GED - Required.

Responsibilities

• Quote low to moderate profile/complex projects.
• Review bid packages and identify technical, commercial, and documentation requirements.
• Collaborate with outside sales and branches to plan proposals.
• Format customer requests into standardized bid spreadsheets.
• Issue RFQs to vendors, track deadlines, and manage project information.
• Assemble bid tabulations and submit final proposals with required docs.
• Negotiate pricing with suppliers and suggest substitute products when appropriate.
• Participate in product meetings to enhance knowledge and margins.
• Build relationships with customers and suppliers to increase business.
• Leverage digital tools to promote or demonstrate products to customers.
