Job summary

The Grace Company is seeking a Store Manager to lead daily store operations, train a capable team, and deliver an exceptional customer experience in Utah. You will translate goals into daily actions, coordinate merchandising, inventory, and sales planning, and collaborate with the Director of Customer Experience.

You will supervise schedules, coaching, and evaluations while ensuring excellent service, product knowledge, and upbeat store culture.

Qualifications

• Previous management experience including supervising, training and coaching.
• Ability to set expectations, address performance concerns, and hold a team accountable.
• Strong organizational skills to manage competing priorities and details.
• Confident problem-solving and customer service skills.
• Comfortable using POS, order management, and inventory systems.
• Ability to interpret sales information and guide daily decisions.
• Interest in fabric, sewing, or quilting, with willingness to develop product knowledge.
• Quilt shop or related specialty retail experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the store team with clear customer service, productivity, teamwork, and daily responsibilities.
• Manage employee schedules, shift coverage, and daily assignments for staffing.
• Own onboarding and ongoing training with direction from the Director of Customer Experience.
• Coach employees on product knowledge, store systems, sales techniques, and service.
• Provide regular feedback and document progress; participate in evaluations.
• Oversee opening/closing procedures, store readiness, cleanliness, and daily tasks.
• Maintain attractive, shoppable displays and coordinate merchandising changes.
• Support sales planning, promotions, and communicating offers to the team.
• Capture content opportunities for social media in partnership with leadership.
