Job summary

PeopleShare by PROMAN is seeking a Quilting Machine Operator in Norfolk to operate multi-needle quilting machines and related equipment, producing quilted mattress panels according to production and safety specifications. The role requires reliability, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to quality craftsmanship.

The position is Full-Time with a temp-to-hire pathway, and offers competitive hourly wages.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Able to lift, push, pull, and move 50+ lbs regularly.
• Basic math skills, including reading a ruler and calculating fractions.
• Comfort operating computer-controlled manufacturing machinery and basic hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Load and reload fabric, foam, and materials onto quilting equipment according to production orders.
• Select quilting patterns, adjust needle positioning, and program controls for runs.
• Set panel cutting blades and adjust cutting machines for exact dimensions.
• Monitor machinery during operation to prevent damage, waste, and quality issues.
• Measure and inspect finished panels for dimensions, appearance, and stitching quality.
