Quick Lube Technician Job Description

This position is onsite Monday – Friday (7:30 am to 5:30 pm) with a Saturday (8:00 am to 2:00 pm) rotation.

1. Perform vehicle oil changes, filter replacements, and other routine fluid services.
2. Perform tire pressure checks and adjust air pressure as needed.
3. Perform tire rotations on customer vehicles to ensure even tire wear.
4. Perform multi-point inspections to GM specifications on automotive vehicles.
5. Communicate effectively with the Quick Lube Advisors regarding any recommendations for additional vehicle servicing based on the inspections.
6. Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure a professional and welcoming atmosphere for customers.
7. Adhere to shop safety protocols and guidelines.
8. Other responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Perform work specified on the repair order efficiently and according to dealership standards.
• Test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor about additional service needs and provide time estimates for repairs.
• Perform vehicle maintenance under warranty following manufacturer specifications.

Qualifications:

• State of Michigan Mechanic Training Permit (dealership can assist with obtaining)
• Strong teamwork skills
• Willing to submit to a drug screen and background check
• Valid and clean driver’s license
