Job summary

Chapman Auto Stores in Columbia, PA is seeking a Service Technician to join our growing service department. This full-time role offers flexible scheduling and immediate start in a fast-paced dealership environment.

You will perform routine maintenance, inspections, and diagnostics, while communicating with Service Advisors and leveraging factory training resources to enhance your skills. We provide competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Experience in automotive maintenance required. Independent quick-lube experience a plus.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record; ASE or PA State Inspection license a plus but not required.
• Strong work ethic, high energy, attention to detail, team-first attitude.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance: oil changes, filter replacements, fluid flushes, tire rotations, brake jobs, diagnostics and electrical repairs.
• Conduct multi-point safety inspections to identify potential needs.
• Communicate vehicle health and maintenance needs to Service Advisors.
• Utilize factory training resources to expand technical knowledge.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workspace.

Requirements

What You’ll Do (Responsibilities):

As a Service Technician, You Are The Backbone Of Our Fast-lane Maintenance Team, Delivering Efficient, High-quality Care To Our Customers' Vehicles. Your Daily Tasks Will Include

• Performing routine maintenance: oil changes, filter replacements, fluid flushes, and tire rotations, brake jobs, diagnostic work, electrical repairs etc.


• Conducting thorough complimentary multi-point safety inspections to identify potential vehicle needs.


• Clearly communicating vehicle health and required maintenance to Service Advisors.


• Utilizing factory training resources to keep expanding your technical knowledge.


• Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized workspace.

What We Are Looking For (Requirements)

• Experience: Previous automotive maintenance experience is required. (Experience at independent quick-lube shops is a major plus!)


• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.


• Credentials: A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required. ASE certifications or a PA State Inspection license are a plus but not required to start.


• Mindset: A strong work ethic, high energy, attention to detail, and a team-first attitude.
