Job summary

Chapman Ford of Columbia is seeking experienced Technicians to join our growing team in Columbia, PA. We are part of Chapman Auto Stores and have served Pennsylvania for over 50 years, earning recognition from industry magazines and awards.

Responsibilities include taking repair orders, performing work to dealership standards, diagnosing malfunctions, documenting repairs, attending training, keeping the shop organized, and complying with safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Ford experience is a plus.
• PA Emission/Inspection License required.
• Valid Driver’s License with no major violations within the past 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Receives repair orders from dispatcher and takes to stall area.
• Performs work as outlined on repair order with efficient and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
• Diagnoses cause of any malfunction and perform appropriate repair.
• Documents work performed and reason for failure of component.
• Attends factory-sponsored training classes.
• Keeps shop area neat and clean and be able to account for all dealership-owned tool at all times.
• Understands and follow federal, state and local regulations, such as those governing the use and storage of chemicals and disposal of hazardous wastes.
• Road-test vehicles to quality-check work performed.
