Job summary

Dal-Tile, a subsidiary of Mohawk Industries, seeks a Mold Line Operator for the H shift to operate and monitor molding equipment and ensure product quality. You will follow the QMS, load materials, perform checks, and document results in a fast-paced, safety-conscious environment.

The role emphasizes teamwork and continuous improvement through 5S and lean practices, with a family-friendly culture and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience operating molding/equipment in a manufacturing setting.
• Ability to follow Quality Management System (QMS) procedures.
• Demonstrated attention to detail for quality checks and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor mold line equipment for safety and efficiency.
• Stock lines and machines with required materials; transport, weigh, and mix ingredients as needed.
• Load/ unload machines and perform periodic checks on output.
• Create samples and conduct quality control checks; report issues to supervisor.
• Maintain accurate records related to safety, quality, and productivity; follow SOPs and 5S lean practices.

HOURS: 6:45pm - 7am (2-2-3)

Job Functions

• Ensures safe and efficient operation of all assigned equipment
• Follows the Quality Management System (QMS)
• Stocks lines/machines with needed materials
• Transports, weighs, and mixes appropriate ingredients
• Load/ unload machines
• Performs periodic checks on output
• Creates samples and performs quality control checks
• Monitors equipment or processes and reports problems to supervisor including safety, quality, productivity, and systems-related issues
• Maintains accurate documentation/ records relative to safety, quality, and productivity for assigned area
• Follows standard operating procedures, safe operating practices, 5S, standard work and other lean manufacturing principles
• Keeps area safe, clean and organized
• Supports a life-long learning environment, enhancing own skills as well as assisting in the development of other team members
• Must be willing to cross department lines and help the team where needed
• Performs other related duties as required
