Job summary

Dal-Tile, a subsidiary of Mohawk Industries, is seeking a Mold Line Operator for the F shift in Tennessee. You will ensure safe, efficient operation of equipment and follow lean manufacturing principles to maintain quality and productivity.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing or quality control preferred.
• Willingness to work a 2-2-3 shift schedule.
• Ability to read and follow procedures and records.

Responsibilities

• Ensures safe and efficient operation of all assigned equipment
• Follows the Quality Management System (QMS)
• Stocks lines/machines with needed materials
• Transports, weighs, and mixes appropriate ingredients
• Load/ unload machines
• Performs periodic checks on output
• Creates samples and performs quality control checks
• Monitors equipment or processes and reports problems to supervisor
• Maintains accurate documentation/records relative to safety, quality, and productivity
• Follows standard operating procedures, 5S, and lean principles
• Keeps area safe, clean and organized
• Supports a life-long learning environment and helps develop others
• Crosses department lines to assist the team
• Performs other related duties as required

MOLD LINE OPERATOR- F SHIFT

HOURS: 6:45PM - 7AM (2-2-3)

Job Functions

• Ensures safe and efficient operation of all assigned equipment
• Follows the Quality Management System (QMS)
• Stocks lines/machines with needed materials
• Transports, weighs, and mixes appropriate ingredients
• Load/ unload machines
• Performs periodic checks on output
• Creates samples and performs quality control checks
• Monitors equipment or processes and reports problems to supervisor including safety, quality, productivity, and systems-related issues
• Maintains accurate documentation/ records relative to safety, quality, and productivity for assigned area
• Follows standard operating procedures, safe operating practices, 5S, standard work and other lean manufacturing principles
• Keeps area safe, clean and organized
• Supports a life-long learning environment, enhancing own skills as well as assisting in the development of other team members
• Must be willing to cross department lines and help the team where needed
• Performs other related duties as required
