Job summary

Northeast Asphalt seeks a Heavy Equipment Operator to join its quarry operations, producing aggregate and construction materials. The role includes running the processing plant, including crushers, screens, wash-plants, and feeding the plant with loaders to support stockpile and load-out of finished product.

Candidates should be able to operate multiple equipment types safely, perform routine inspections, and assist with maintenance and welding.

Qualifications

• Operate equipment in a safe and productive manner.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections of mobile equipment.
• Communicate plant site issues with Foreman and Mine Management during daily inspections.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work site including shoveling and skid steer operation.
• Assist in plant maintenance and repairs including labor work, cutting, fabricating and welding.
• Follow proper safety procedures, including incident reporting.
• Other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Operate and feed the processing plant with loaders and other equipment.
• Monitor crusher, screens and wash-plant operations for safe, efficient production.
• Assist with maintenance, minor repairs and fabrications as needed.
• Ensure a clean, safe, and organized work area on site.
