Job summary

Northeast Asphalt, part of the Walbec Group, is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to support quarry operations and onsite load-out of finished product. You will operate several machines safely and efficiently, including loaders, skid steers, water trucks, and pumps as needed.

Qualified applicants will have advanced loader experience in a mine environment, knowledge of MSHA regulations, and be able to work varied hours, nights, mornings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Advanced loader experience in a mine environment.
• Knowledge of MSHA regulations and company policies.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Flexibility to work nights, early mornings and weekends.
• Welding, fabrication, and repair experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment safely and productively.
• Perform daily maintenance and inspections of onsite equipment.
• Monitor pumps and dewatering equipment on site.
• Report plant site issues to Mine Management during inspections.
• Maintain a clean, orderly work site including skid steer use.
• Provide professional, courteous service and support on site.
• Follow all safety procedures, including incident reporting.
• Other duties as assigned.
