Job summary

APAC Mississippi, Inc., a CRH company, is seeking a Quarry Plant Operator to support the maintenance and operation of the aggregate plant, including crushers and washers. The role requires physical labor, ability to work various shifts, and travel when needed.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma (GED) and 1–2 years of related experience, with good reading, writing, and math skills for safe and efficient production. Excellent teamwork and safety focus are essential.

Qualifications

• Reading simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Basic arithmetic: add, subtract, multiply and divide.
• Willingness to work varying shifts (days, nights, swings).
• Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain aggregate crusher, washer, and surrounding environment for safe, efficient operation.
• Shoveling, sweeping, steam cleaning, painting, tire work, and mechanical assistance; lifting and pulling.
• Communicate production issues to supervisor or lead person.
• Able to work overtime and in varying weather conditions.
• Willing to travel and work away from home when required.
• Report to work at designated start time; nights and weekends when necessary.
• Other duties as assigned per supervisor.
