Job summary

APAC Mississippi, Inc., a CRH Company, is seeking a Quarry Plant Groundman in New Albany, MS to maintain crushers, washers and the surrounding plant areas for safe, efficient operation. The role requires manual labor, lifting, and readiness to work nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.

You will monitor equipment, perform cleaning and basic maintenance, report production issues to supervision, and support a safety-focused team in a fast-paced quarry environment.

Qualifications

• One (1) year related experience is preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required; 1–2 years related experience and/or training.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to perform basic math: add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
• Ability to work various shifts (days, nights, swings).

Responsibilities

• Maintain aggregate crusher, washer, and surrounding environment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Shoveling; sweeping; steam cleaning; painting; tire work; mechanical assistance; lifting, pushing and pulling various objects.
• Communicating production issues to supervisor or lead person.
• Ability to perform strenuous work in varying weather conditions.
• Willing to travel and work away from home when required.
• Willing to work nights and weekends when necessary.
• Report to work at the designated start time.
• Able to work overtime when required.
• Other duties as assigned per supervisor.
