Job summary

APAC Mississippi, Inc. is seeking a Quarry Plant Groundman (Maintenance) to maintain crushers, washers, and the surrounding area for safe, efficient operation.

The role involves manual tasks, light mechanical work, and cleaning duties; willingness to work various shifts, nights, weekends, and overtime with a strong emphasis on safety and teamwork. Applicants should have at least a high school diploma and one year of related experience; good reading, basic math, and the ability to follow

Qualifications

• One (1) year related experience is preferred.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to work various shifts (days, nights, swings)

Responsibilities

• Maintaining aggregate crusher, washer, and surrounding environment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Shoveling; sweeping; steam cleaning; painting; tire work; mechanical assistance; lifting, pushing and pulling various objects.
• Communicating production issues to supervisor or lead person.
• Ability to perform strenuous work in varying weather conditions.
• Willing to travel and work away from home when required.
• Willing to work nights and weekends when necessary.
• Report to work at the designated start time.
• Able to work overtime when required.
• Other duties as assigned per supervisor.
