Job summary

APAC Mississippi, Inc. in Yazoo City is hiring a Quarry Plant Groundman (Maintenance) to help maintain crushers, washers, and surrounding areas for safe operation. The role involves heavy lifting, varied shifts, and occasional travel. You’ll report to the supervisor and support ongoing plant maintenance with a focus on safety and efficiency.

The position is full-time and on-site at the quarry, offering competitive pay and benefits as part of CRH family.

Qualifications

• One year related experience preferred.
• High school diploma or GED; 1–2 years related experience or training; or equivalent.
• Ability to read simple instructions and write simple correspondence.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using whole numbers, fractions and decimals.
• Ability to work various shifts (days, nights, swings).

Responsibilities

• Maintain aggregate crusher, washer, and surrounding environment for safe operation.
• Shoveling, sweeping, steam cleaning, painting, tire work, and lifting.
• Communicate production issues to supervisor or lead person.
• Travel and work away from home when required.
• Work nights and weekends when necessary.
• Report to work at the designated start time; overtime as needed.
• Other duties as assigned per supervisor.
