Job summary

Luck Companies offers a 9-week Summer Internship focused on quarry operations, blasting, heavy equipment operation, plant operations, quality control, sales and dispatch. Interns gain hands-on experience and present outcomes at the end of the program.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in an advanced degree or certificate program and eager to grow in the mining field. Program runs June 1, 2027 through early August 2027, with a commitment to safety and equal opportunity employment.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an advanced degree or certificate program.
• Interest in mining industry and safety culture.
• Ability to participate in safety briefings and team activities.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned tasks and projects with high quality and attention to detail.
• Participate in hands-on training in pit and plant activities.
• Assist with equipment maintenance and repair.
• Follow quality control procedures and assist with lab testing.
• Assist with sales and dispatch activities, including weighing and ticketing haul trucks.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Attend daily safety briefings and actively participate in hazard identification and reporting.
• Seek feedback and coaching from supervisors and team members.
• Prepare an end-of-summer presentation detailing experiences and learning outcomes.
