Job summary

Luck Companies is offering a Summer Internship program focused on quarry operations, a 9-week hands-on experience in blasting, heavy equipment operation and maintenance, plant operations, quality control, and sales/dispatch.

Interns will engage in safety culture and teamwork, network with industry professionals, and finish with a presentation detailing experiences and outcomes; ideal candidates are enrolled in an advanced degree or certificate program seeking growth in the mining field.

Qualifications

• Ideal candidates will be currently enrolled in an advanced degree or certificate program in a related discipline to the industry and have a desire to grow within the mining field.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned tasks and projects with a high level of quality and attention to detail
• Participate in hands‑on training and practice in pit and plant activities
• Assist with equipment maintenance and repair
• Follow quality control procedures and participate in lab testing as required
• Assist with sales and dispatch activities, including weighing and ticketing haul trucks
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Attend daily safety briefings and actively participate in hazard identification and reporting
• Actively seek out feedback and coaching from supervisors and team members
• Complete end‑of-summer presentation summarizing experiences and learning outcomes.
