Luck Stone Corporation is offering a 9-week summer internship focused on quarry operations. Interns gain hands-on experience in blasting, heavy equipment operation and maintenance, plant operations, quality control, and sales/dispatch, while building core competencies in safety and planning.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in an advanced degree or certificate program related to mining, with interest in growing within the industry.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an advanced degree or certificate program related to mining or industrial operations.
• Strong interest in quarry operations and safety culture.
• Willingness to learn hands-on tasks and work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned tasks and projects with high quality and attention to detail.
• Participate in hands-on training in pit and plant activities.
• Assist with equipment maintenance and repair.
• Follow quality control procedures and participate in lab testing as required.
• Assist with sales and dispatch activities, including weighing and ticketing haul trucks.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Attend daily safety briefings and actively identify hazards and report them.
• Seek feedback and coaching from supervisors and teammates.
• Prepare an end-of-summer presentation summarizing experiences and learning outcomes.
