Job summary

Amrize is seeking a Quarry Operator for our Portland Cement Plant in Colorado to join a safety-focused team and operate heavy equipment on two shifts. You will perform mechanical maintenance checks, monitor quality, and maintain documentation while adhering to PPE and safety standards.

Local travel is expected; prior experience with mobile equipment and a high mechanical aptitude are valued. Amrize offers strong benefits and career growth.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of heavy equipment operating experience in a heavy manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain mobile equipment used to mine rock (rock drills, wheel loaders, bulldozer, haul trucks, water trucks, motor grader, fuel tanker, hydraulic rock breaker).
• Perform mechanical maintenance checkouts and troubleshoot mechanical breakdowns.
• Monitor quality and adjust mining patterns based on sample drill holes and feedback.
• Maintain documentation, plan and organize work, and participate in team activities.
• Adhere to health, safety and environmental policies and wear Amrize approved PPE including respirators.
