Job summary

New Enterprise Stone & Lime Co., Inc. in Clifford, PA seeks a Quarry Superintendent to oversee daily crushing plants and mobile equipment to maximize performance, production and profitability. The role includes supervising plant foreperson and production coworkers.

You will manage safety, quality and maintenance planning, and work closely with sales to ensure product availability while maintaining 5S and a positive team environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of general mine/quarry experience.
• Experience in quarry operations including blasting, drilling and de-watering.
• Ability to operate heavy equipment and knowledge of maintenance.
• Build professional relationships with leaders and external networks.
• Collaborate and communicate across the business; safety focused.

Responsibilities

• Oversee safety through training and observation of workforce.
• Foster a productive team and positive work environment.
• Ensure production targets are met within budget and maintain quality.
• Develop and manage maintenance plans for outages and downtime.
• Maintain records via daily production reports and inventory.
• Lead hiring, promotions, and time approvals.
• Conduct toolbox talks, JHA meetings, and pre-shift huddles.
• Assist inspectors with site inspections (MSHA/DEP).
• Coordinate with sales to ensure product availability.
• Maintain 5S and maintain positive relations with neighbors.
