Job summary

NESL is seeking a Quarry Superintendent to oversee daily operations of crushing plants and mobile equipment in Clifford, PA. You will manage safety, productivity, and profitability while supervising forepersons and production staff.

The role requires 5+ years of quarry experience, hands-on blasting/drilling/de-watering, and strong leadership. You will coordinate maintenance plans and ensure quality, timely delivery of product with a focus on safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of general mine/quarry experience.
• Practical experience in quarry operations including blasting, drilling and de-watering.
• Ability to operate heavy equipment and knowledge of heavy equipment maintenance.
• Capable of building professional relationships with leaders and external networks.
• Excellent customer service and collaborative communication.

Responsibilities

• Manage site safety through training and observation of workforce.
• Foster a productive team and positive work environment.
• Oversee production targets and efficiency within budget.
• Develop maintenance plans including outages and preventative maintenance.
• Maintain daily production records, inventory, and critical supplies.
• Lead workforce through hiring, promotions, and time approvals.
• Facilitate daily toolbox talks and pre-shift huddles.
• Assist inspectors with site inspections (MSHA/DEP).
• Collaborate with sales and other lines of business for quality product availability.
• Maintain orderly facility appearance and lead 5S initiatives.
• Maintain positive relations with site neighbors.
