Job summary

NEBCO, Inc. seeks a Seitz Quarry Operations Manager to direct production, distribution, and operations for the limestone plant near the Beatrice area. The role requires balancing maintenance, production, and safety while meeting demand for a 12-hour day, 5.5-day week operation.

On-call emergencies are possible and residence within 30 miles of the site is required. The manager leads personnel, coordinates with management, sales, maintenance and QC teams, and ensures production and delivery

Qualifications

• Associates degree from college or technical school and one year management experience.
• MSHA Miner certification or ability to obtain and maintain within reasonable time after hire.
• Must obtain a valid Explosive Use Permit from the Nebraska State Patrol.
• Experience in mining or heavy construction is helpful.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret blueprints, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Responsibilities

• Directs production, distribution and operations for the limestone plant.
• Coordinates production activities with management, sales, procurement, maintenance, and quality control to optimize resources and costs.
• Establishes production and quality standards, and manages quantities, specifications and delivery dates.
• Coordinates storage and placement of materials with yard personnel.
• Develops maintenance plan and guidance procedures for maintenance program.
• Reviews production costs and quality to maintain profitability and adjust inventory control.
• Revises production schedules in response to equipment failures or inventory needs.
• Coordinate and supervise alterations in plant design and cost estimates for major repairs.
• Provides up-to-date status on production activities to stakeholders.
• Interacts with customers and industry reps to promote services and provide sales support.
• Maintains safety, environmental compliance and reporting requirements.
