Job summary

Central Stone Company in Florissant, MO is seeking an Assistant Quarry Superintendent for our Fort Bellefontaine Quarry. This daytime role may require some Saturdays to meet production needs.

You will assist in directing production, supervise drilling, blasting, quality control, and coordinate equipment maintenance while coaching staff. A strong mechanical aptitude and teamwork are essential; MSHA compliance is expected.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in quarry operations.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work independently or in a team.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
• Pre-employment drug screen, physical, and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Promote and enforce MSHA rules with the Quarry Superintendent.
• Assist direction and supervision of production activities, from drilling and blasting to quality control.
• Coordinate with the Quarry Superintendent to ensure equipment readiness.
• Assist with maintenance plans to optimize plant efficiency.
• Develop staff through training, coaching and performance feedback.
