Job summary

Rogers Group, Inc., headquartered in Nashville, is seeking a Groundman/Maintenance Technician for our quarry operation in Madisonville, TN. You will perform general labor, inspections, maintenance, and repairs to crushers, conveyors, screens, and related systems, ensuring safe and efficient operation.

This role requires a strong safety focus, the ability to work independently or with a team, and a willingness to learn quarry plant operations. Valid driver’s license preferred.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of mechanical equipment and maintenance practices.
• Ability to inspect equipment wear and plan repairs.
• Ability to operate hand and power tools safely.
• Willingness to learn quarry plant operations and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform general labor and maintenance duties throughout the quarry and processing plant.
• Conduct routine inspections of crushers, screens, conveyors, motors, bearings, and other plant equipment.
• Assist with preventative maintenance, repairs, and equipment rebuilds.
• Lubricate, adjust, replace, and maintain plant components as directed.
• Clean material buildup from conveyors, crushers, screens, catwalks, and work areas.
• Assist with welding, fabrication, and installation projects as needed.
• Troubleshoot and report equipment issues to maintenance supervisors.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment safely and effectively.
• Support plant start-ups, shutdowns, and scheduled maintenance outages.
• Maintain housekeeping standards in accordance with company policies and MSHA regulations.
• Work safely around moving equipment, heavy machinery, and production processes.
• Follow all company safety policies, lockout/tagout procedures, and PPE requirements.
