Job summary

Heidelberg Materials North America seeks a Loader Operator to work at a quarry site, operating front-end loaders and other heavy equipment to load trucks and stockpiles while following safety policies. You will perform pre-shift inspections and coordinate with drivers to ensure efficient loading.

A high school diploma with proven quarry/construction experience and a strong safety mindset are required. The role includes basic maintenance tasks and collaboration with diverse quarry personnel.

Qualifications

• Proven experience operating heavy equipment, particularly front-end loaders, in a quarry or construction environment.
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
• Strong commitment to safety and adherence to all safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Operate front-end loaders and other heavy equipment to load trucks, crushers, and stockpiles with various aggregates.
• Perform pre-shift inspections of equipment, including checking fluid levels, tire pressure, and operating controls.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area around the loader and loading zones.
• Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including wearing PPE and following traffic control plans.
• Communicate effectively with truck drivers, plant operators, and other quarry personnel to coordinate loading activities.
• Monitor material quality and report any inconsistencies or contamination.
• May perform basic maintenance tasks on equipment, such as greasing and cleaning.
