Job summary

C-Rae Materials is seeking an experienced Quarry Pit Loader Operator to safely operate a front-end loader in an active quarry environment, loading rock and aggregates into haul trucks and processing equipment. The ideal candidate will have demonstrable heavy equipment experience, a strong commitment to safety and productivity, and the ability to communicate clearly with truck drivers and plant operators.

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating a front-end loader or similar heavy equipment.
• Quarry, mining, aggregate, construction, or earthmoving experience preferred.
• Ability to load trucks and equipment safely while maintaining production.
• Basic understanding of equipment inspections and preventive maintenance.
• Must pass pre-employment screenings and safety training.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a front-end loader in the quarry pit and material areas.
• Load rock and aggregates into haul trucks, crushers, hoppers, and equipment.
• Maintain material flow to support production goals and minimize downtime.
• Build and maintain safe stockpiles and organized work areas.
• Inspect areas for unsafe conditions and perform daily equipment inspections.
• Monitor fluids, tires, brakes, lights, alarms, and safety components.
• Report damage, hazards, and maintenance needs promptly.
• Complete inspection forms and production documentation accurately.
• Communicate with haul truck drivers and plant operators by radio or signals.
• Follow traffic patterns and site safety rules; assist with general maintenance.
• Comply with MSHA requirements and company policies.
