Job summary

Maine Drilling & Blasting Inc. in Vermont is seeking hardworking entry-level laborers to join our majority employee-owned team. You will support drilling and blasting operations, learn safety procedures, and perform outdoor construction tasks in varying weather.

Starting pay is $18 to $20 per hour with travel stipends, plus two retirement plans (ESOP and company-matched 401(k)) and health benefits. Valid driver's license and ATF screenings are required, with overtime possible.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction labor is preferred.
• Must pass ATF screenings.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety procedures and company policies.
• Demonstrate physical agility and teamwork.
• Submit weekly time cards signed and accurate.
• Learn safety aspects of blasting sites.
• Perform assigned laboring tasks.
• Work unsupervised when required.
• Load and unload explosives from trucks.
• Carry stemming stone to blast holes.
• Keep job sites clean and organized.
• Attend foreman and safety meetings.
• Participate in daily safety briefings.
