Maine Drilling & Blasting Inc is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator/Driller Trainee for our quarry operations in Concord, NH. The role offers an hourly rate of $20–$22 plus a travel stipend, with opportunities to advance from within as part of a majority employee-owned ESOP company.

Qualifications

• Experience operating earth-moving construction equipment is helpful.
• Valid driver's license with own transportation.
• Experience as construction laborer.
• Strong mechanical aptitude around equipment, motors, hydraulic, electrical systems.
• Must pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen.
• Background screening for ATF required.

Responsibilities

• Follow instructions from Superintendents, Blasting Supervisor or Drill Operators.
• Maintain a safety-minded approach in varying weather.
• Occasional out-of-town travel and overtime may be required.
• Perform daily maintenance for safe, efficient operation of equipment.
• Adhere to safety policies and procedures.
• Learn drill patterns and execute patterns as directed by Foreman.
• Inventory accessories and understand maintenance costs.
• Communicate problems and terrain conditions to the Blaster/Foreman.
• Complete drill reports, hole sheets, and timecards.
• Demonstrate physical agility.
• Coordinate supplies with Blaster.
• Carry all tools and supplies.
• Participate in Foreman/Safety/Job meetings.
• Complete Driller I training within the designated period.
• Work unsupervised with urgency.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
