Job summary

Maine Drilling & Blasting Inc. is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator / Driller Trainee for quarry work in Lebanon, PA. You will operate heavy equipment and learn drilling and blasting under supervision, with emphasis on safety and reliability.

Starting pay is $20.00-$22.00 per hour plus a $150 weekly travel allowance. The company offers health, dental, vision, life and disability benefits, plus ESOP ownership and training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience operating heavy construction equipment is helpful.
• Must hold a valid driver's license and have reliable transportation.
• Safety-minded with ability to work in varied weather conditions.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to learn drilling processes.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily maintenance for safe, efficient operation of equipment.
• Adhere to safety policies and procedures.
• Learn drill patterns and execute layouts as directed by supervisors.
• Inventory drill accessories and understand maintenance costs.
• Communicate problems and terrain conditions to the Blaster/Foreman.
• Complete drill reports, hole sheets, and timecards.
• Maintain physical agility and readiness for field duties.
• Coordinate supplies with Blaster and carry tools.
