Job summary

Zurich Instruments, a technology leader in quantum computing instrumentation, seeks a Scientific Business Developer to drive growth in the US quantum market. You will build relationships with top accounts, identify opportunities, and coordinate cross‑functional efforts with application scientists and account managers.

The role requires a master’s degree in physics or EE, 3+ years in scientific sales or BD, and a proven ability to negotiate complex decisions.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in Physics, EE or equivalent field.
• 3+ years in business development and sales in scientific or technological markets.
• Proven ability to foster collaborative environments that integrate stakeholders from technology and business.
• Mastery in selling complex technical products, solid negotiation skills, and business acumen.
• Self-starter with a positive attitude and strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Establish new revenue streams with customers in the field of quantum technologies
• Research industry trends and establish strong contacts at key accounts
• Generate opportunities and drive the sales process forward
• Work with account managers and application scientists to lead negotiations, coordinate complex decision-making processes and overcome objections to maximize opportunities
• Represent the company in international quantum initiatives, engage with opinion leaders across the US, research centers and industry groups
