Qualifications

• PhD in theoretical physics, mathematics, computer science, or related field.
• 2+ years of postdoctoral experience (or industry equivalent) in QEC.
• Experience tailoring error-correcting codes for quantum computing devices.
• Strong scientific publication record.
• Proficient in scientific computing.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 10%.
• Ability to work in a cross-functional, matrixed environment.
• Ability to learn quickly.

Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue research advancing QEC theory and implementation.
• Develop and optimize QEC protocols for neutral atom platforms.
• Use mathematical models and numerical simulations to analyze QEC performance.
• Develop and implement custom QEC decoders.
• Collaborate with experimental physicists and software engineers to bridge theory and practice.
• Publish research findings in journals and present at conferences.
• Stay up to date with developments in QEC.
• Provide guidance to other team members.
