QuEra Computing, Inc. seeks a talented Postdoctoral Fellow in quantum error correction to advance neutral atom quantum computing research in Boston.

You will design QEC protocols, implement them in hardware, and evaluate their interaction with quantum algorithms, guiding near-term applications and future architectures. The role requires a PhD in Physics, CS, or Quantum Information, a track record of publications, and familiarity with numerical simulation and scientific programming.

Qualifications

• PhD in Physics, Computer Science, Quantum Information or closely related field.
• Track record of peer-reviewed publications in top-tier journals.

Responsibilities

• Develop novel QEC schemes with lower overhead in space and time.
• Design QEC schemes for neutral atom platforms and collaborate with software teams on their simulation and implementation.
• Propose and evaluate scalable quantum architectures, error correction schemes, and control strategies.
• Collaborate with experimental teams to guide system design, interpret results, and validate models.
• Contribute to technical publications, white papers, and patent filings.
• Participate in internal knowledge-sharing sessions and external scientific outreach (e.g., conferences, workshops).
