Job summary

City Tech invites applications for a full-time Research Associate (Postdoctoral Fellow) to conduct grant-supported experimental research on light–matter interactions for quantum-information and quantum-communication applications at NYC College of Technology.

The successful candidate will develop and optically characterize advanced materials and devices, with emphasis on transition‑metal dichalcogenides monolayers and heterostructures, and collaborate with the research team to advance

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree required and strong research record in related fields.
• Experience with low-dimensional or quantum materials and optical techniques.

Responsibilities

• Conduct experimental research on transition-metal dichalcogenide and related quantum materials.
• Design, fabricate, and integrate material systems and optical devices.
• Develop and execute optical-characterization experiments to evaluate properties.
• Analyze data and prepare technical reports on progress.
