Job summary

IonQ is seeking a Head of Product for its Quantum Interconnect Platform to bridge R&D and go-to-market teams, owning the product narrative and driving early commercial traction.

This hybrid role blends product management, technical storytelling, and early-stage sales support, collaborating with engineers to shape the roadmap and with customers and leadership to position, sell, and grow the offering.

Qualifications

• PhD or advanced degree in engineering, physics, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in product management within quantum computing, networking, or related deep-tech industries.
• Direct experience in quantum computing or quantum networking product management.
• Background in management consulting or equivalent experience building high-quality, executive-ready presentation materials.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain product materials for the Quantum Interconnect Platform.
• Interface with engineering to define the product roadmap and adjacent technologies.
• Translate technical capabilities into clear product requirements and external-facing content.
• Gather and synthesize customer feedback to inform product direction.
• Lead customer meetings to communicate value and use cases of quantum memories, interconnects, and repeaters.
