Job summary

Quantum Computing Inc. is seeking an experienced Application Engineer to deploy, integrate, test, and support photonic and quantum computing hardware in lab and customer sites.

This hands-on role focuses on hardware assembly, rack integration, wiring, RF chains, and on-site troubleshooting in Hoboken, NJ or remote settings. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a technical field and hands-on hardware experience.
• 5+ years installing, integrating, testing, or servicing advanced hardware in field or lab environments.
• Experience with hardware integration, cabling, power, grounding, BIOS/firmware, and thermal considerations.
• Proficiency with oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, signal generator, and power meter use for diagnostics.
• Familiarity with RF concepts, interfaces, and test methods; knowledge of RS-232/422/485, USB, I2C, SPI.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to work with customers and teams.
• Ability to travel up to 50% domestically and internationally; valid driver’s license and passport.

Responsibilities

• Hardware deployment: install, rack, cable, configure, and support equipment at customer sites.
• System bring‑up: power-on, verification, interface checks, calibration, and testing.
• Site readiness: define rack space, power, grounding, cooling, networking, and access requirements.
• Compute hardware: build and service desktop/server/embedded compute platforms.
• RF signal chains: assemble, calibrate, and troubleshoot using lab instruments.
• Acceptance testing: document results, resolve deficiencies, and support sign-off.
• Customer training: deliver hands-on operation and basic troubleshooting.
• Cross‑functional collaboration: work with engineering, product, and customer teams to improve deployments.
