Job summary

D-Wave Quantum Inc. in New Haven, CT, is seeking a Quantum Engineer II to develop and execute measurements for advanced superconducting devices, analyze performance data, and support validation of new device concepts. You will optimize experimental workflows and contribute to automation and data-analysis capabilities while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

The role requires a M.Sc. with 2 years or a PhD in physics or electrical engineering, experience with superconducting quantum

Qualifications

M.Sc. and/or 2 years of relevant experience; or PhD in physics, electrical engineering, or related field.
Experience with superconducting quantum devices and measurement techniques.
Experience in DC/RF measurements and cryogenic systems.
Proficiency in scientific programming for instrument control, data acquisition, analysis, and automation.
Strong written and verbal scientific communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

Design and perform microwave, electrical, and cryogenic measurements.
Maintain and optimize cryogenic and measurement systems to improve performance and reliability.
Develop and execute experiments for device characterization and validation.
Perform data analysis to identify device performance characteristics and key contributing factors.
Develop and maintain experiment automation and data-analysis pipelines.
Identify procedure or tool issues and help implement practical improvements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support device evaluation and provide experimental feedback into development cycles.
Maintain well-organized documentation of methods, results, and datasets.
