Job summary

Revolutional is seeking a Quantum Computing / Cryptography Engineer to lead the cryptographic inventory and migration plan for VA systems. You will bridge quantum computing theory, cryptographic engineering, and enterprise risk management to modernize cryptography per NIST PQC standards.

Lead development of an enterprise cryptographic inventory, validate compliance against FIPS and NIST standards, and define detailed migration steps with timelines and resource needs.

Qualifications

• 10+ years IT experience, 5+ years in quantum computing/cryptography in a large org or govt agency
• Master’s degree may substitute for up to 2 years of experience
• Familiarity with NIST/ISO/IEC 19790 standards and PQC concepts

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain enterprise cryptographic inventory and migration plan for VA systems
• Assess compliance of cryptographic elements against federal standards (FIPS 140‑2/3)
• Define migration strategies to replace non‑compliant/legacy cryptography and plan PQC adoption
