Infleqtion, Inc. seeks a self-motivated physicist/engineer to design, build, calibrate, and operate neutral-atom quantum computing systems.

You will translate technical goals into experimental plans, develop Python tools, and integrate subsystems across physics, software, electronics, and mechanics. Requirements include a PhD in AMO/quantum physics (or 4+ years) with hands-on lab work on atomic/optical/quantum systems, Python for control/analysis, and familiarity with lasers, RF, optics, and

Qualifications

• PhD in atomic, optical, AMO, quantum physics or 4+ years of comparable research/professional experience.
• Hands-on experience with atomic/optical/quantum/precision-measurement experiments.
• Experience applying quantitative models to experimental design or laser/control systems.
• Hands-on experience with lasers and optical systems including modulators, RF, imaging, or UHV equipment.
• Experience using Python for experiment control, data analysis, automation, or hardware integration.
• Evidence of designing/analyzing physics experiments or developing subsystems.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, calibrate, operate, and improve neutral-atom quantum computing systems and subsystems.
• Execute R&D projects involving hardware, gate protocols, laser/optical systems, calibration, control, or integration.
• Translate goals into experimental plans and measurable targets.
• Design and analyze experiments and models to guide decisions.
• Independently execute defined work from planning through validation.
• Develop Python-based tools for experiment control, data analysis, and automation.
• Own subsystems through testing, maintenance, and documentation.
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams and mentor interns.
