Job summary

BCG Attorney Search is looking for junior to senior-level associates with expertise in quantum computing to join their Electrical & Computer Technologies group in Washington, D.C. This role involves collaborating with clients and inventors throughout the patent process, ensuring a thorough approach to U.S. patent applications for complex technologies.

Candidates should possess a Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school and be admitted to the USPTO, along with strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field.
• Knowledge of quantum computing, preferably photonic quantum computing and quantum error correction.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to work effectively in teams.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with clients and inventors at all stages of the patent process.
• Prepare, file, and prosecute U.S. patent applications for complex quantum computing technologies.
• Draft responses to office actions and make strategic patent application decisions.
• Conduct freedom-to-operate, infringement, and patentability analyses.
