Job summary

BCG Attorney Search is looking for an experienced Patent Agent to join their Prosecution & Counseling department in Washington, D.C. This role is ideal for someone with a strong technical background and a keen interest in intellectual property strategy, patent preparation, and prosecution.

The successful candidate will handle drafting and filing patent applications and responding to office actions. They must have a minimum of two years of experience in patent preparation and prosecution.

Qualifications

• An advanced degree in a relevant field is required.
• Minimum of two years of law firm patent preparation and prosecution experience.
• Admission to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) is required.

Responsibilities

• Draft, file, and prosecute high-quality patent applications.
• Prepare responses to U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) office actions.
• Conduct scientific, technical, and legal research to support prosecution.
