Job summary

IonQ, Inc. seeks a Quantum Success Engineer to help customers onboard and leverage IonQ’s quantum cloud platform. You will become an expert on the software, assist with onboarding, and translate complex concepts into actionable guidance for diverse users.

You will collaborate with engineering to improve UX, address incidents, and gather feedback to shape product improvements, while engaging with customers and industry events as needed.

Qualifications

• MS in Physics, CS, or related field, or graduate‑level training.
• 5+ years in technical customer‑facing roles with proven performance and goal achievement.
• Hands‑on experience with Python and Jupyter Notebook, Google Colab, or similar platforms.
• Demonstrated ability to translate technical concepts to business stakeholders and technical teams across domains.

Responsibilities

• Become a subject matter expert on IonQ’s user‑facing quantum computing software and ecosystem.
• Answer user questions, troubleshoot incidents, and interface between customers and software/systems teams.
• Provide technical implementation guidance on platform administration, software integration, and workflows.
• Lead onboarding sessions to help new users start on IonQ systems.
• Collect customer feedback and advocate for improvements to IonQ products.
